The Efeso Baptist Church in Tabora, Tanzania started early in 1995 by the home Missionary Pastor Cosmas Bunzari Kanunu and his wife Juliana on plot No. 124 Block “E” Isevya Bomba Mzinga in Tabora Region, about 3 km north East from city centre. The church started with one family and later other families started to join slowly, up to date more than 57 families attending this church every Sunday. In Order to bring many people to Jesus Christ, the church has the following Missions and Visions;
Evangelism and Churches planting:
Here the church has been holding mission teams from inn and out of Tanzania door to door evangelism, open air crusades, and Medical Ministries. However, the church has a film team that does outdoors evangelism through Jesus and any other Christians Films. Up to date Efeso Church has planted 9 churches in the Tabora Region. More over, our church does pastors and church leaders’ conferences and training.
Women Ministry:
Through Women Ministry, the church has been reaching many women to Jesus Christ. Every Wednesday the women group meets to the following;

Through youth Ministry, the church has been bringing youth to Jesus Christ by doing the following;
Vulnerable and Highly Vulnerable Children Ministry
In 1996 the church had mobilized to work with poor families in Tabora city. The Ministry started with 14 children but up to date there are 264 children where by 42 are in kindergarten 222 are in Primary School, and among them 137 are girls and 127 are boys .Today the name of this Service is called Efeso Baptist Student Center TZ 507. The church has been taking care these children by partnering with Compassion International in Tanzania by doing the following;
Reaching the HIV+ Victims Ministry:
Efeso Baptist Church has been reaching the HIV victims and brings them to Jesus Christ through the following;

- Visiting the sick, widows, children and older people
- To clean and decorate the church.
Youth Ministry:
Through youth Ministry, the church has been bringing youth to Jesus Christ by doing the following;
- Spiritual Ministry such as organizing youth camps and looking for a nice Christian to teach the word of God.
- Physical Ministry such as sports and other games.
- Social Ministry such as teaching them how to interact into a Christian society.
- Education Ministry such teaching them to become good husbands and wives.
- To have a youth day every Sunday night.
Vulnerable and Highly Vulnerable Children Ministry

- By teaching them the word of God and feeding them food every Saturday from 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Providing them with school materials.
- Paying their school fees
- Clothing them
- To empower and teach their parents about self reliance in order to support their families for example buying sowing machines, drilling them with water wells, house renovation and gardening.
Reaching the HIV+ Victims Ministry:
Efeso Baptist Church has been reaching the HIV victims and brings them to Jesus Christ through the following;
- By doing home based care such as teaching the word of God and praying for them
- Counseling
- Providing them with nutrition
